The Canny Crow Restaurant

The Canny Crow restaurant offers a dining experience like no other and is considered one of the best restaurants in Ayrshire. Whether you’re looking for a contemporary fine dining restaurant, an intimate supper or corporate dining facilities, we have the perfect setting.

Contemporary fine dining

Situated on the first floor of Dundonald Links’ Clubhouse, the Canny Crow restaurant effortlessly combines heritage with modernity. Offering diners a choice of seating from formal dining to cosy and intimate booths, relaxed seated areas to al fresco dining options.

Our acclaimed head chef, Iain Conway, has created a menu featuring a range of golfing classics designed to offer the perfect sustenance for an afternoon on the course: selections include hearty steaks cooked to your preference and, of course, a variety of mouth-watering Scottish fine-dining dishes.

All menus use only the finest, freshest ingredients and feature local seasonal foods for a truly authentic experience.

Dress code and design

Dundonald Links is all about combining the heritage and traditions of golf with a 21st century twist. Whilst our design is influenced by Scottish hunting lodges and features dark wood panels, sumptuous leather seating, and a rich colour palette, our ethos is very modern.

Whether you’re staying with us in one of our luxury lodges or hotel suites or simply joining us for a spot of fine dining, we want you to wear what feels comfortable for you.

Given the Canny Crow’s location on the first floor of the Dundonald Links Clubhouse, the restaurant enjoys panoramic views across the course, practice greens, and the Firth of Clyde, all the way to the Isle of Arran.

The Western Terrace allows guests to enjoy unrivalled views of the coast and the wraparound balcony provides spectators stunning views across the fairways, including the first tee and the all-important 18th green – perfect for the return of the Women’s Scottish Open in 2022.

Why the Canny Crow?

In Scottish ‘canny’ means something or someone that is clever or shrewd, and the crows here at Dundonald Links have learnt that where there’s a golf bag, there’s often a snack. These canny crows can be seen around the half-way house unzipping the pockets of unattended golf bags.

When you join us at the Canny Crow restaurant, see if you can spot our very canny crow in and amongst our incredible pieces of wall art.
