Location of the Clubhouse
The Clubhouse has been carefully placed between the course and the lodges, with the course immediately west of the building, ensuring unmissable views across the fairways. Thanks to the position of the Clubhouse, you’ll be treated to world-class panoramic views from its first-floor balconies all the way to the Isle of Arran.
We’ve also ensured the practicality of the golf course and Clubhouse location aligns with the needs of our visitors, by providing a spacious, private car park that sits to the east of the Clubhouse, which is located separately from the course. This allows you to focus on your game for an uninterrupted round.
For those who are joining us in the Clubhouse, there is a drop-off roundabout adjacent to the main entrance to facilitate completely stress-free arrivals.

Drink and dine on the 1st floor
As you step onto the first floor, our exceptional and highly-trained staff will be waiting to greet you. Whether you’re looking to sample spectacular local and world whiskies in our whisky-tasting room, take in the views from the balconies, or dine out in style in our restaurant, our staff will be on-hand to help.
The heart of any Clubhouse is its restaurant and bar, and here at Dundonald Links we’re proud to present our Canny Crow Restaurant. Featuring a mouth-watering menu of seasonal culinary delights, the Canny Crow is just yet another facility that sets Dundonald Links apart. Unlike some other golf courses with restaurants, we offer a dining experience to relish. When you dine with us you’ll enjoy vibrant, elegant surroundings and a mixture of causal seating and intimate booths.
In summer months, the Canny Crow feels bright and airy, with panoramic views across the landscape, whilst in the winter, the restaurant feels cosy and intimate, with a crackling stone-fireplace and wood-panelled walls.
Our bar area is designed with the same heritage feel and offers a selection of the finest wines and spirits and is the perfect spot for a post-match drink or pre-meal aperitif. Just behind the bar sits a private dedicated whisky-tasting room, perfect for sampling from our collection of over a 100 whiskies, beautifully curated by Blair Bowman. Enjoy the whisky tasting experience with fellow connoisseurs and truly soak-up the atmosphere and heritage that our Clubhouse has to offer.
To the far side of the bar, guests in need of a little peace and relaxation can get cosy in our relaxed seating area. Providing a comfortable, intimate space inviting you to sit-back and enjoy the dramatic views. For those seeking a livelier close to their evening, our first floor has a games area with a full-sized American pool table – ideal for a little competition off the course.
The first floor is also home to the Western Terrace. The ideal place to soak up the sun and watch the world go by. With panoramic view of Ailsa Crag, the Firth of Clyde and beyond to the Isle of Arran, you’ll be encapsulated by the natural rugged beauty of Dundonald Links’ location, as well as be able to spot players on the course below.

Our sustainability mission
Here at Dundonald Links our golf course and Clubhouse are privileged not only by our location, but by the diversity of our wildlife and it is of the utmost importance that our presence contributes to – rather than detracting from – the local natural environment.
We have extended this ethos into the fundamentals of our design, crafting the clubhouse from only the most sustainable, local natural materials. These sustainable features include a grass roof, which will provide natural insulation in addition to extending the habitat for local wildlife, as well as wind-catchers to provide natural ventilation.
In addition, the Clubhouse design incorporates and expands upon the local flora with an array of pollen and nectar-bearing plants, in accordance with our relationship to the Irvine to Girvan Nectar Network. This project has been designed to establish connected nectar and pollen-rich sites along the Ayrshire coast, to assist the recovery and survival of local pollinating insects, and is a project co-led by Dundonald Links and the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
Guests with an eye for detail will note our subtle nods to our environmental values; our homage to bees is present with our hives, dotted around the course; whilst the small blue butterfly detailing is a nod to the smallest resident butterfly within the UK – which is rare and very localised, but graces our course with its presence. All curling stones are made from Ailsa Crag granite, as a tribute to the spectacular local island, visible from our Clubhouse against the Scottish skyline.
